Jeffrey David Braun
Jeffrey David Braun, age 69, of Wells, MN, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN, surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN, with Father Greg Parrott officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 21, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Wells Color Guard.
Jeff was born December 12, 1951, to Donald Braun and Rita (Swenson) Braun. He grew up on the family farm and loved to farm. Jeff graduated from Wells-Easton high school and was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. Jeff was united in marriage to Susan Jacobsen, August 31, 1974, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN. Jeff was a truck driver all of his life, working for Wells Concrete and Johnson Family Farms retiring in 2018. His heart was always near and dear to farming and he helped out whenever he could, even after pulmonary fibrosis slowed him down. In his spare time Jeff enjoyed feeding the birds and was a puzzle expert. He spent lots of time putting together puzzles with his wife, kids and grandkids. Above all, family and friends was the most important thing in Jeff’s life. He had a deep love for all of them and was always there to give a helping hand.
Jeff is survived by his wife Susan Braun of Wells, MN; children: Jessica (Mark) Yokiel, Melissa (Nate) Kaupa, David (Chelsea) Braun all of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Lucas and Addison Yokiel; Lexis and Devin Kaupa; siblings: Gordon (Bonnie) Braun, Mankato, MN, Carol Farnsworth, Apple Valley, MN, Steven Braun, Ely, NV, Kevin Braun, St Francis, MN, and Kurt Braun, Ely, NV; sister-in-law: Margo Braun of Elk River, MN; uncle Bill Braun; many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; brother Larry “Fritz” Braun; brother-in-law Fay Farnsworth; many other brothers and sisters-in-law.

Jeff was my puzzle buddy! When I came back to Wells, I would bring my puzzles that I had already done and give them to him. We had some good conversations the last few times I was in MN. Visiting Wells will never be the same with Jeff gone. Prayer and hugs to Susan, their kids, grand kids and all the Braun family! I am heart broken and will miss him.
My dad talked very highly of you, and he enjoyed his visits with you! He absolutely loved those puzzles! He tried so many times to get me to do them with him and I told him I will flip the table dad!!! I sure miss him alot!
Jeff will be missed. He always came out to my parents house and talked to my dad. He helped my dad with some project he was working on. What I will miss is him calling me “rabbit”. You have my sympathy.

I was fortunate enough to have played softball with Jeff and his brothers growing up in Wells. He was a great friend and always willing to lend a helping hand, he will be missed. RIP Jeff.

post on Facebook…..May God grant you His peace and help you be able to look at pictures and talk about many good memories of your

R.I.P. my Brother. God’s Blessings to Sue, Jessica, Melissa and David, and families. I have known Jeff most of my life, and family ties have kept us good friends for many, many years. He will be so missed by so many. I wish I could have made it to the service, but obligations concerning health issues of my own prevented that. I pray that he will find that Peace that we long for. I also Pray that Jeff and Julie find comfort in the Good Lord’s arms and are now again whole, without pain and struggles. Your on a new Journey now and those Journies will be the best you will ever have. Until we meet again dear friend.
