Jeffrey David Braun, age 69, of Wells, MN, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN, surrounded by his loving family.  A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN, with Father Greg Parrott officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, June 21, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be held at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Wells Color Guard.

     Jeff was born December 12, 1951, to Donald Braun and Rita (Swenson) Braun. He grew up on the family farm and loved to farm.   Jeff graduated from Wells-Easton high school and was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.  Jeff was united in marriage to Susan Jacobsen, August 31, 1974, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN.  Jeff was a truck driver all of his life, working for Wells Concrete and Johnson Family Farms retiring in 2018.  His heart was always near and dear to farming and he helped out whenever he could, even after pulmonary fibrosis slowed him down. In his spare time Jeff enjoyed feeding the birds and was a puzzle expert.  He spent lots of time putting together puzzles with his wife, kids and grandkids.  Above all, family and friends was the most important thing in Jeff’s life.  He had a deep love for all of them and was always there to give a helping hand.

     Jeff is survived by his wife Susan Braun of Wells, MN; children: Jessica (Mark) Yokiel, Melissa (Nate) Kaupa, David (Chelsea) Braun all of Wells, MN; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Lucas and Addison Yokiel; Lexis and Devin Kaupa; siblings: Gordon (Bonnie) Braun, Mankato, MN, Carol Farnsworth, Apple Valley, MN, Steven Braun, Ely, NV, Kevin Braun, St Francis, MN, and Kurt Braun, Ely, NV; sister-in-law: Margo Braun of Elk River, MN; uncle Bill Braun; many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families.

     Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; brother Larry “Fritz” Braun; brother-in-law Fay Farnsworth; many other brothers and sisters-in-law.
