Harold Herman Schrader, age 98, of Easton died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at his home in Easton, MN. A Memorial Service will be held privately with family at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home. Interment is open to the public on Saturday November 7, 2020 for those who wish to attend and will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Easton, MN at 12:15 PM. Military Honors for WWII Veteran Harold Schrader will be accorded by the Easton American Legion Post.  Face masks must be worn and social distancing will be observed.

Harold was born March 20, 1922 in Barber Twp. the son of Edward and Elfreida (Bader) Schrader. After graduating high school in Delavan he enlisted in the Army where he served from 1944-1946. On November 7, 1953 he married DeLoris Iams, together they lived and farmed in the Easton and Delavan area for many years. In 1977 they moved to Mapleton and worked at Swift-Eckrich in Wells, MN until his retirement. Harold moved to Easton, MN in 1993. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, yard work around the house, and spending time with his family. Harold loved playing horseshoes and was a member of the Southern Minnesota League for over 35 years. He won many trophies and titles including a world championship, two 2nd place world championships, and six state championships. Harold was even inducted into the Horseshoe Hall of Fame in 2006. Harold was also a member of State Class A Baseball Champions in 1953. He was a past Commander of the Easton American Legion as well as a life member of the Wells VFW Post 1778.

Harold is survived by his daughters: Deb (husband Greg) Werner of Warsaw, MN and Pam Clemons of Wells, MN; step-son, Ed Iams (significant other LeAnne Hazeltine) of Somerset, WI; grandchildren: Amber (husband Josh) Gelling, Cassandra (husband Brandon) Sheeler, Brad (wife Anna) Ammerman, Destin (wife Kaitlin) Ammerman, Brenda (husband Gary) Newman, and Travis Iams; great-grandchildren: Brielle, Payton, and Sophia Eckhardt; Jared, William, and Avery Sheeler; Riley, Tucker, Jameson, and Ella Ammerman; Michael Sebastiano, Ben Faust, and Luke Hark.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents; wife, DeLoris; brother, Arthur Schrader; and step mother, Lena Schrader.
