Geraldine “Gerry” Ziegler, age 82, of Easton, MN, died Friday, October 9, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Friday October 16, 2020 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, MN. Public visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4-7 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN. Interment will be in OLMC Catholic Cemetery, Barber Twp., Faribault Co., MN.  Face masks must be worn and social distancing will be observed at the funeral home and Church.

Gerry was born February 14, 1938, in Mankato, MN, the daughter of George & Alice (Brady) Gorman. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1956. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Ziegler on October 1, 1960 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth.  To this union 5 children were born: Mark, Marty, Martha, Mike, and Mary.

Gerry was a Good Counsel Alumni Board member. She was a legal secretary for over 35 years for Frundt & Johnson Law Office. She enjoyed genealogy, horse racing, and baking. She loved crafts, making doll clothes and taking her wares to craft fairs. Gerry was also an avid Precious Moments collector and had created an envious collection.  Gerry was an active member of OLMC Catholic Church in Easton, MN.

Gerry is survived by 4 children: Mark (Pam) Ziegler of Fairplay, CO, Marty Ziegler of Delavan, MN, Martha (Vince) Bleess of Delavan, MN, Mary (Rich) Smothers of Amboy, MN; daughter-in-law: Jackie Ziegler of St. Paul, NE; 15 grandchildren:  Kristin (Andy) Flatness, Aaron (Kay) Ziegler, Joshua Ziegler, Krystal (Evan) Allen, Ryan (Monica) Bleess, Zach (Chelsey) Badura, Jessica Pentico, Jill (Dillon) Hanson, Brady (Anastasia) Bleess, Arika Ziegler, Shelby Ziegler, Bailey Ziegler, Brianna Ziegler, Nick Ziegler, and Roger Ziegler; 22 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; Sisters: Mary Kay Stenzel and Carolyn (Darrel) Berkland;   In-laws: Paul (Marian) Ziegler of Winnebago, MN,  John Welker of Owatonna, MN; numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert (2008), son Mike (2018); sisters and brothers-in-law: JoAnn (Ed) Schmig, Mary Ann Ziegler; Mary Ann Welker; Duane Stenzel; and great-grandson, Jack Flatness.
