Antonia “Toni” Gimberline age 95, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020 at Parkview Care Center.   Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN with Father Greg Havel and Deacon Gene Paul officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 4:00-7:00 PM, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells, MN.  Face masks must be worn and social distancing will be observed.

Toni was born April 27, 1925, the daughter of Peter and Monica (Langner) Ignaszewski in Stephens, MN. The family moved to Wells when she was 2 years old. Toni was one of nine children, growing up on a farm in Freeborn Co.  On January 20, 1947, Toni was united in marriage to William F. Gimberline at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells.  Toni was a life long member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Wells V.F.W. Auxiliary, having held a number of leadership roles. She worked at different businesses throughout the years: Mussers, Frank Hayes, Gambles Store, wallpapering, made pizzas for Jake’s Pizza when it first opened, and was the assistant manager and manager of the Wells V.F.W. Toni was the quilting queen. She would make quilts for everyone, at least 100 a year. They would be donated to the Ronald McDonald House and many other fundraisers. She always had a quilt on hand.

Toni is survived by her children:  James Gimberline and special friend Krissy Beyer of Wells, and Joyce Lake of Faribault, MN; 6 grandchildren: Adam (wife Heidi) Gimberline of Wells, Melissa Otis and special friend Shawn Johannsen of Waseca, MN, Georgette Lake of Bloomington, MN, Nicholas (wife Jeri) Lake of Owatonna, MN, Karissa (husband Jacob) Bathke, Kennen Isaacs (Kersten Calder); great-grandchildren: William and Carter Gimberline, Dominic Otis, Jaden Lake, Layna and Landon Bathke, Kenley and Kellen Isaacs and Sarah Johannsen; brother, Bernard (Eleanor) Ignaszewski of Albert Lea, MN; 2 sisters: Irene Supalla of Albert Lea, Marian Mithun of Deer River; 3 sisters-in-law: Martha Ignaszewski of Wells, Mary Ignaszewski of New Richland, Janice Ingaszewski of Wells; along with many nieces, nephews and their families, and special friend Kathy Ayers.

She is preceded in death by her parents: husband William (1993), daughter Joan (2006); brothers: Phillip (1998), Florian and Jerome (1997), 2 sisters in infancy; sister-in-law: Bernadine (Wilbert) Drager; son-in-law: Don Lake (2001); brothers-in-law: Darwin Mithun and Laurence Supalla; Melford Gimberline and Berdine and Wilbert Drager.
