Susan Nasinec
Susan came to Wells in March of 1997. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and is a licensed Funeral Director in Minnesota and Iowa.  Susan is married to Nathan and they have 3 boys. Susan and Nathan purchased Bruss-Heitner Funeral Homes on January 1, 2008.

Nathan Nasinec, married to Susan, is licensed in Pre-need Insurance for Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home. Nathan can explain pre-funding plans to you and family members wanting to pre-plan a funeral. We invite you to call our funeral home to make an appointment to discuss your options.

Mara Mietzner
Mara grew up in Rochester, MN, graduating from Mayo High School in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota. She has been a licensed funeral director since 2008. She joined Bruss-Heitner in August, 2013 and currently resides in Wells with her husband, Nick, and their two cats. In her spare time Mara enjoys camping, cooking and pottery.

Stan and Kathy Bruss
Stan and Kathy Bruss owned the funeral home from 1986 -2007. Stan graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1975 with a B.S. Degree in Mortuaury Science. He is licensed in Minnesota and Iowa and is also a licensed insurance agent in MN. Kathy graduated from the Lutheran Deaconess School of Nursing in 1974 and is a licensed RN. Moving to Wells in 1978, they have been an active part of the community and their church. They have 3 grown children. Stan and Kathy recently retired from funeral service. They currently reside in Mankato, MN.

Erik Buckley
Erik joined the staff at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in January of 2008. He and his wife, Larissa, moved to Wells from Owatonna, where Erik served the community as a funeral director for five years. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science.   In August of 2012, Erik went back to college to pursue a degree in computers.  Currently he works on a part-time basis.
